Jason lurked around the city for what, five days now? He hated the fact that his weapons were taken away from him; his weaponry was impressive without a doubt, and it could easily match Batman’s. Talia have been very generous and gave him all the resources he needed, and after those years, he still kept his little toys with him. Kicking away some of the trash in the alley, he looked around for something other than a dagger, a dagger made out of frigging wood. Of course he sharpened it to perfection, and if there was anyone who dared to start a fight with him, that pointy end would go straight into their neck.
“Nothing. What a load of crap”, he huffed as he wiped his hands on his jacket and wore his gloves again. His helmet was still in his hand; there was a good reason why he didn’t wear it just yet. Yes, his last encounter with the Joker did make him more paranoid than he already was, if that was even possible. He didn’t know why he was so annoyed anyway; a new city, a new environment, new people; he wasn’t exactly new to change, he went through many changes himself. But the fact that they were kept there against their will for a little ‘experiment’ made his blood boil. That’s exactly what Bruce wanted from him before they said their goodbyes.
Whatever, he would make his living there, no problem. He would surely find people worthy of his attention, and if Kori showed up, she would keep Roy in line. He was friends with the archer, well, Kori and Roy were his only friends, but Jason was someone who could easily be agitated, especially if he was provoked.
He haven’t seen the other member of their trio for a few days and he didn’t look out for him either; he didn’t care. What was important was to find more weapons in that place, especially guns. After all, he was supposed to be the guns man of their little team.
“Useless..”, he muttered again as he stood up properly and tried to scratch the tip of the dagger. If he couldn’t find those weapons, that meant only one thing; he would steal them.
“Whoa, Teen Titans? i have no time for that sidekick bull, Red Robby!”
“I’m X-Force material, baby! Proper black-ops Mutate! And cloth masks are awesome! They’re cool in the Summer and smell and feel great when I use that palm scent fabric softener…”
“And for the last time, the smell is Mexican! Unlike you, people need something more than angst and daddy issues to live!”
“Trust me, nobody likes the sidekick business, just ask Harper.”
“Black ops, huh? Surely that can’t top the Outlaws. You mean that you actually wash that thing? Doesn’t look like it to me. Do everyone a favour and pick a helmet.”
“I don’t say no to a good beer every other night. And I always make sure that I don’t seem repulsive to other people,unlike you.”
